Since 1992, The Perfume Shop has been the UK’s leading specialist fragrance, with over 200 stores across the UK and Ireland. Every day, we commit ourselves to ensuring our customers an online shopping experience mirroring the one in-store with just one click on their smartphone.
Aware of the strategic role of UX in reaching this goal, in 2023, we launched a new app designed to offer smooth and intuitive navigation while reflecting our brand identity through its colour palette and design. Users widely welcomed our new app, with our current rating exceeding 4 stars on both Apple and Play Store.
In our pursuit of excellence, last year, we performed over 150 live interviews with our customers and benchmarking analysis to spot new opportunities to implement with a team specialised in delivering UX enhancements to speed up our time-to-market. Some features launched include the display of the Member Card during onboarding, cart abandonment notifications, a menu on PDP to streamline page navigation, and a new Guest User Page to prompt the registration for the loyalty program. Thanks to these enhancements, in 2024, we reported an uplift of more than 50% of app participation in both transactions and revenues across all channels.
