Since 2015, the national high school exam has been the most important event in Vietnam’s education industry. Through this exam, candidates will simultaneously enroll in colleges or universities across the country and be considered whether they are eligible to finish 12 years of high school. An information technology system to ensure transparency and optimize exam organization is a highly urgent need of Vietnam’s education industry.
In the above context, Viettel’s national high school graduation exam system was built in 2015 and updated in May 2023.

Viettel’s national high school graduation exam system is the first and only system officially used by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to help candidates and organizers optimize time, money and ensure transparent when implementing this exam.
Understanding the importance of the national high school exam, Viettel has cooperated closely with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to ensure the safety and accuracy of exam data of 10 million of candidates. The other unique key is the ability to respond flexibly to the professional request of the MOET. According to the practical of each school year, MOET designs enrollment plans suitable to the training needs in Vietnam. With the spirit of constantly innovative to lead the development of digital society, up to now, this system owned more than 100 features, which brought significant benefits to different objects.

Viettel has provided free Internet lines for more than 32.000 schools nationwide, including 100% schools in remote area; awarded 126 billion to the scholarship for the marginalized students. During the Covid-19 disease, to ensure that “no student is left behind”, Viettel has donated 37.000 computers to students to the “Connect and Computers for Children” program. Our sponsorship helps to overcome the lack of infrastructure and equipment, so then students and organizers from all over the country easily hold and attend the most important exam of the year remotely, even in the context of social distancing.
Until now, Viettel’s system has supported 63/63 (100%) Examination Council marking exams; accompanied 81 million students to register for the graduation exam; recorded 5.4 million candidates apply to universities and colleges, in which the total number of successfully registered options is 43.2 million. In 2022, when Vietnamese people get used to paying online for everything in life, the system has updated the online payment function for registration fees. Although this is the first time of implementing this feature, up to 93.12% of students has chosen this form of registration out of total of more than 1 million candidates registered for the exam.
Mr. Hoang Minh Son – Vice Minister of Vietnam’s MOET said: “Since 2016, the enrollment process has significantly changed when guiding candidates to apply online through this platform. In particular, it is easy for students to register and submit proofs. This also help universities and colleges reduce virtual candidates. The Department of Education and Training can minimize administrative work for high schools. This year, the MOET will continue to use this system for high school graduation and enrollment”
This year, according to the Government’s policy on eliminating the household registration book and increasing the exploitation of population databases, Viettel has integrated the function of looking up variable information residents on this system, enable candidates to priority admission by region. With the continuous improvement, Viettel’s system has been an essential piece in the journey to promote digital of the education industry, leading to the development of digital society in general.
