London -- Star Syringe Ltd., the East Sussex manufacturer of the K1
auto disable syringe, is among the big winners in the second annual
International Business Awards, sharing Best Multinational Company
honours with Dassault Systemes of France. Vertex, the Manchester-
based BPO firm, is the other big U.K. winner, earning two awards for
its sales organisation. More than 75 winners of the awards -- also
known as the Stevies -- were announced on Wednesday in categories
ranging from Best Multinational Company and Best New Product to
Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program and Best Executive. The
21 countries represented in the winners' circle include Argentina,
Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France,
Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Nigeria, Pakistan,
Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the U.K. and the
U.S.
