    Having launched in 2003, Snap Fitness is one of the most prominent global fitness brands, with a network of over 1,000 gym franchises and more than 1 million members. 

    With sites in more than 20 countries, including the US, UK, Spain, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Canada, and Hong Kong, Snap Fitness’ business model has been carefully crafted to ensure success comes from member retention and fantastic experiences. 

    Snap Fitness understands the fitness industry has shifted to a more holistic approach, and prioritizes encouraging its members to focus on the way exercise makes them feel, rather than just how it makes them look. This strategic positioning aligns perfectly with the needs of modern gym-goers who are seeking more than just physical transformation.     Snap Fitness has seen continued success following its brand repositioning, with membership numbers rising by an average of 22% across its global footprint over the past two years. In the past year alone the team has remodelled 96 gyms, opened 32 new gyms and sold 78 new territories. 

    The success extends beyond the brick and mortar too, with its innovative Snap App continuing to go from strength-to-strength. The free member app is a one-stop-shop for holistic fitness, boasting more than 1,200 on-demand workouts, a personal training feature that allows for bespoke plans to be created, delivered and monitored, mindfulness content and a library of healthy recipes for personalized meal plans. 

    The Snap App has already seen a strong start to 2024, with 65.8% more users globally compared to January of 2023. Other notable figures include a 198% rise in the use of its bookings and on-demand content, and a 115% increase in user engagement, in January this year compared to the same period last year.

    These numbers are a testament to Snap Fitness’ adaptability, expertise and industry-leading franchise offering.

    Snap Fitness has stood as a pioneer in the fitness industry since 2003, listening, learning and adapting to the challenges and trends to create positive habits, enjoyable experiences and sustainable franchise businesses. 

    Its most recent strategic pivot saw Snap Fitness become an early adopter of holistic fitness, spearheading a seismic industry shift that is setting a new standard for members and franchise businesses. By understanding the wants and needs of its members and franchisees, Snap Fitness has continuously aligned its brand to match the current market demands and is reaping the benefits.

    The most notable figure is its membership growth, highlighting the popularity of Snap Fitness’ new direction in an increasingly competitive market. By beating other operators to the punch, Snap Fitness has witnessed an average membership growth of 22% across its global footprint, compared to the industry average of 15% reported in the Health and Fitness Association’s 2023 Global Report.
