Bill Rancic to Host Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs
Shining a spotlight on outstanding women behind the fastest-growing segment in small business today, The 2004 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs have announced finalists in 18 categories including Best Entrepreneur and Best Overall Company.

The awards ceremony and reception where Stevie Award winners will be announced will take place on Friday, October 22 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City's Times Square. The master of ceremonies will be Bill Rancic, spokesperson for Advanta which is sponsoring the awards and winner of the hit television show "The Apprentice."

"The Finalists for the first-ever Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs comprise the most dynamic women in business today," said Dennis Alter, chairman and CEO of Advanta. "As part of our long-standing commitment to help women entrepreneurs build their businesses, we congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement."

2005 Calls for Nominations Are Coming in October


The Calls for Nominations for 2005 Stevie Awards competitions - The 3rd Annual American Business Awards and The 2nd Annual International Business Awards - will be issued in October.

The Call for Nominations for The International Business Awards will be issued during the week of October 4. All companies worldwide are eligible to participate, including American companies that generate at least 10% of their sales outside the U.S.A. The entry deadline will be Friday, December 17.

The Call for Nominations for The American Business Awards will be issued during the week of October 11. All American companies, and the U.S.-based operations of foreign companies, are eligible to participate. The entry bird entry deadline will be Friday, November 12 (entry fees will be discounted by $50) and the final entry deadline will be Friday, January 21.
