    Drilling and Workover Training Division (D&WOTD) is a division falls under the in the D&WO Admin Area in the Upstream Business Line of Saudi Aramco with a mission of providing a world-class training platform, through state-of-the-art evolving learning solutions. The vision of D&WOTD is to become the best-in-class in developing a highly competent workforce to meet D&WO objectives. D&WOTD is dedicated to training, mentoring and the professional development of D&WO employees.

    Under the Human Capability Development Program of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision, there has been an increased focus on the younger generation by empowering them with the educational and basic skills and knowledge at an early stage, to prepare the youth for their future career in the workplace. In alignment with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, Saudi Aramco Drilling and Workover Training Division (D&WOTD) paved the way forward in launching a program under the theme of Social Responsibility and encouraged the social responsibility activities within the organization to actively improve and give back to the community.

    The main outcome of the program “Your Future With D&WO” is to increase the awareness and promote the D&WO Engineering career path for the youth and future engineers of the company. It was designed to equip the students that participated with the fundamental knowledge of the D&WO career path in addition to understanding the highly important safety standards and practices required when performing their jobs as D&WO engineers. With the goal to foster the best future talent pool, D&WOTD engages in social responsibility programs with high school students which are led by D&WO representatives that are highly motivated to attract and develop their target audience by presenting real life work scenarios and facilitating a number of engaging activities. The success of the program was realized when the special request from the General Directorate of Education in the Eastern Province was made to have more social responsibility programs for high school students which benefits the community and is directly linked with the core principles of the company.

    The program "Your Future with D&WO" featured interactive breakout sessions that enabled the students who participated in the campaign to receive a most effective realistic on the job experience of the D&WO operations and the high importance of safety in the workplace. The attached photographs that are within the report give a snippet of the sessions within the program such as presentations on safety and D&WO Operations delivered by D&WO Engineers, a tour of the D&WO facilities and technologies with an interactive Virtual Reality experience for the students.
