PuroClean’s franchise network of 430+ offices extends across North America. As a growing franchise brand opening new locations every day, PuroClean’s franchise owners rely on their regional directors (RDs) to offer training, guidance, and support, helping onboard team members and serving as the first line of contact for hundreds of teams daily.

PuroClean’s RDs are the liaisons between the corporate team and the individual franchise owners and their staff. RDs work in an unpredictable environment, overseeing the flow and function of the franchises within their assigned regions and serve as key contacts and mentors. As of June 2023, the PuroClean RD team comprises of 14 members, each having approximately 22 franchise owners under their guidance.

An RD’s contact with new franchise owners begins after New Franchise owner Training (NFT). RDs facilitate initial field training (IFT), another critical training, which includes a sales and marketing plan, and business goals and objectives; preparing new owners to get their doors open.

Another part of the RDs’ responsibilities includes essential support to franchise owners, offering insight on protocol, technical training, and assisting in complex property losses. PuroClean RDs empower franchise owners to grow as both business owners and restoration professionals. Many franchise owners also turn to their RDs for assistance deploying teams during storm season.

As the core of the PuroClean operations department, RDs often oversee many aspects of the technical side of the business, unifying the brand’s corporate efforts with the franchise owners’ focused responses. Each owner, however, has individual goals and objectives for their PuroClean business. RDs provide flexible coaching based on the needs of the individuals. While some want to grow to multi-million-dollar businesses, others are interested in flexibility for family time, watching their kids dance, play ball at 3:00pm, etc. RDs provide the tools for franchise owners to achieve their individual projected levels of growth. There is no cookie-cutter growth plan at PuroClean.

During Hurricane Ida in 2021, as with all major storms, PuroClean’s RDs dispatched trailers loaded with specialized equipment, shipping drying equipment, tools, and supplies to franchise owners (the eyes-on-the-ground) in Louisiana and Mississippi.  Emergency relief teams were deployed within 24 hours of Ida’s touchdown; franchises in the affected areas turned over their phones to PuroClean’s Storm Command Center, supported by the RDs, ensuring customers received prompt, efficient service. When Ida turned, inundating New York and New Jersey with torrential rains of over 9 inches, the RDs worked hand-in-hand with PuroClean Storm Command Center to ensure that owners and partners in the area were supported, while at the same time continuing to service Louisiana and Mississippi through torrential rain and devastating conditions.

Many new owners, having just completed training, were hands-on in the field being coached while receiving first-hand storm experience. Under the guidance of the RDs, all franchise owners performing storm relief throughout across North America, mobilize their own support teams, including lodging and transportation.

PuroClean’s response to natural disasters and extreme weather has been tremendous, largely due to the RDs’ efforts, dispatching equipment to teams during the winter storm in Texas in February 2021, the Nor’easter, and most recently, Hurricane Ian in the gulf coast of Florida in February 2022. Throughout the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season, the team was directly responsible for providing guidance to more than 50 franchise owners from as far north as Chicago to respond across state lines to property owners affected by Hurricanes in the Southeastern states.

Beyond working to assist franchise owners, RDs are often called upon to share their expertise for specific brand projects, including planning content and providing information for regional meetings, media partners, and more.

PuroClean’s RDs are a tight unit, working cohesively to fulfill a united goal. Each RD has an area of expertise, some are financial experts, others more technical, having more industry-related experience. All RDs share their individual knowledge and skills across the franchise network, to ensure balanced coaching based on franchise owners’ needs.
