    Providing Cancer Care Support Services: Warm Care at Every Critical Moment.

    Cancer has remained the leading cause of death in Taiwan for 40 consecutive years. Nan Shan Life Insurance is actively safeguarding the health of the people, deepening the meaning of new insurance by combining products with services. In the product scope, we have designed exclusive cancer insurance policies tailored for different genders. In 2021, we launched a spillover policies exclusively for women on Mother's Day, and in 2022, we introduced another one exclusively for men on Father's Day, enhancing cancer protection for both women and men. In the service scope, we have conducted actual interviews with cancer patients to identify pain points and needs throughout their cancer journey. We have integrated services corresponding to different stages of the health journey, such as "Health Period - Treatment Period - Recovery Period," ensuring that policyholders have not only financial compensation but also supportive services akin to a reliable teammate throughout their battle against cancer.

    Innovative Product Design: Combining Customized Protection.

    Nan Shan Life Insurance recognizes the distinct patterns of cancer occurrence in men and women, leading us to introduce the male-exclusive "QING YI XIANG TING Health Promotion Term Brother Cancer" and the female-exclusive " MEI LI XIANG SHOU Health Promotion Term Shero Cancer". These policies provide enhanced coverage for specific cancers such as prostate cancer, which is more prevalent in men, and breast cancer, which is more prevalent in women. Moreover, to promote health and cancer prevention, our products incorporate an overflow mechanism. By undergoing designated cancer screenings or receiving specified vaccines, policyholders can receive a "Health Protection Reward" of 2% annual premium. Additionally, if their annual health check-up results meet the standards, they can receive a "Health Promotion Reward" of up to 10% annual premium.

    From Cancer Prevention to Cancer Fight: Care Provided in the Health Period, Treatment Period, and Recovery Period.

    Apart from strengthening the coverage for male and female cancers respectively, the two policies also integrate services of Health Guardian Circle necessary for cancer prevention and active cancer fighting. In the " Health Period," we provide online nutrition courses, physician consultations, health check-up plans, low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) scans for lung cancer screening, exercise and fitness programs, and more. In the "Treatment Period," we offer second opinion consultations, cancer genetic testing, nutritional supplements, and other services. During the "Recovery Period," we offer a holistic range of services including caregiver matching, psychological counseling, comforting care packages, and more. We ensure that all the care needs of our policyholders are met with utmost professionalism and compassion.

In 2022, the number of new policy contracts related exceeded 90,000, and the total cancer claims paid out throughout the year exceeded 433 million USD, assisting nearly 38,000 policyholders in alleviating the financial burden of high cancer treatment costs on themselves and their families.

    In terms of cancer care support services, Nan Shan Life Insurance's Health Protection Circle offers eligible policyholders the opportunity to apply for complimentary care services. These services include "Disease Second Opinion Consultation," "Nestlé Health Science Nutritional Care Group," "Cancer Care Package," and "FarHugs Online Psychological Counseling."
