The Macallan Colour Collection celebrates The Macallan commitment to Natural Colour, spanning the spectrum of natural colour imbued through years of maturation in sherry seasoned oak casks.
David Carson is a globally renowned graphic designer who has forever transformed the design industry. He is the mastermind behind the design of the entire collection.
This inspired us to showcase David’s work where the collection originated. We filmed David inspired from the heart of The Macallan casks, to demonstrate the profound inspiration the light and energy of Jerez have on his work. A special studio was designed for David, allowing him to create, for the first time in his career, a large-scale artwork that inspires his design for the entire range of color collection packs.
The episode captures the energy, freedom, and unconventional style of David by featuring him at the core of the creative process.
We arranged everything for David’s shooting. We crafted an entirely new artwork studio for him within an old wine warehouse, designed to accommodate the large-scale paintings and artworks that serve as inspiration for the color collection pack designs. We positioned David's artworks in the vineyards to capture them directly in the setting that inspires them, bathed in the same light, sun, and energy. This setup showcases the colors of Jerez through the lens of David’s unique talent.
After setting everything up, David worked on the pieces in the studio, and we planned the session meticulously to capture the key messages and footage needed to showcase this remarkable collaboration and the unique color collection to a global audience.
