2004 International Stevie Award Winners Announced
67 International Stevie Award winners, from 19 countries, were announced on March 3 in the first annual International Business Awards. International Stevies will be presented to winners during a dinner in New York on Monday, March 22 that will benefit the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS.
The 2004 IBAs received almost 500 entries from companies and individuals in more than 30 countries. Preliminary judges from 18 countries reviewed all nominations between December 1, 2003 and February 11, 2004. Their average scores determined the Finalists. Members of the International Stevies' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors performed the final judging the week of February 16 to determine International Stevie winners.
International Stevie winners were pre-announced so that winners could make plans to travel to New York for the March 22 awards dinner with confidence.
Complete details on 2004 International Stevie Award winners are available on the IBA web site at www.stevieawards.com/iba. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Internet from 7:30 pm EST on March 22 at www.businesstalkradio.net.

May 10 Is New Date for 2004 American Business Awards The 2004 American Business Awards have been moved from Wednesday, May 12 to Monday, May 10. The setting will still be the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City.
The decision to move to May 10 was made to accommodate the splitting of the awards presentations into two ceremonies. With the growth in entries this year and the addition of many Advertising & Corporate Media categories, the organizers felt it was necessary to split the presentations in two to make the evening more enjoyable for attendees.
The evening's schedule will be as follows:
5:00 - 7:00 pm: Awards presentations in the Advertising and Corporate Media categories 7:00 - 7:50 pm: Cocktail reception 8:00 - 8:50 pm: Dinner 9:00 - 11:00 pm: Awards presentations in all other categories
Attendees can choose to attend either ceremony or both ceremonies as well as the cocktail reception and dinner. Each ceremony will have its own celebrity master of ceremonies, and both ceremonies will be videocast live on the Internet and broadcast live on radio.

American Business Awards to Be Videocast on Web
Both May 10 awards ceremonies of The 2004 American Business Awards will be videocast live on the Internet, courtesy of Digipict, Speedera Networks, and Webcast in a Box.
Better yet, the archive of the videocast will be available on the Web for up to a year, and Stevie Award winners will be able to link to the clips of their acceptance speeches from their own web sites, free of charge.
"We are delighted that the second annual American Business Awards will be videocast," said Stevie Awards president Michael Gallagher. "Stakeholders in nominated companies who can't attend the show will now be able to share in the excitement as the Stevie winners are announced. And Stevie winners being able to show the clips of their acceptance speeches from their web sites provides another powerful benefit to participating in the awards."

Bill Gates Selected as Most Inspiring Business Leader in Stevies Survey
February's Stevie Awards Survey question was, "Which business leader has inspired you the most?" Of the choices offered, Microsoft's Bill Gates was tops with 12.4%, followed by Virgin's Richard Branson with 11.4%.
However, all choices were trumped by None of the Above with 24.3%, illustrating yet again that the sources of management inspiration are as varied as companies and the individuals in them.

This month's Stevie Awards question is: Which multinational company do you most admire?
