HP, PETROBRAS, TNT N.V.  AND CN CEO TO RECEIVE HONORARY STEVIE AWARDS AT 2ND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS

New York, NY – May 16, 2005 – Gearing up for the international business world’s biggest night of the year, The International Business Awards announced today that HP (U.S.A.), Petrobras (Brazil), TNT Express  (The Netherlands), and E. Hunter Harrison, president & CEO of CN (Canada), will be the recipients of 2005 honorary Stevie Awards recognizing excellence in international business.  

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented at a gala dinner ceremony on Thursday, May 19 in the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City

The ceremonies will be videocast live, worldwide, by Speedera Networks, and will be broadcast on radio in the by the BusinessTalk Radio.  Tanya Beckett of the BBC will be the host.

Honorary Stevie Award recipients are chosen by select International Business Awards sponsors.  The 2005 honorary awardees include:

·        E. Hunter Harrison, president & CEO of CN, Montreal, Canada, a leader in the North American rail industry, will receive The 2005 Rogen Award for Business Excellence, in recognition of his long and outstanding business career.  Rogen is the Sponsor of Management Excellence in the 2005 IBAs.

·        HP, the technology giant, will receive The 2005 Factiva Award for Most Innovative Productivity Solution.  HP is recognized for its MarketVision portal, which helps more than 35,000 HP employees find critical business information faster and, thus increases their productivity.  Factiva®, a Dow Jones and Reuters Company, is the Sponsor of Excellence in the IBAs.

·        TNT Express, the world leading business to business express delivery company, will receive The 2005 Factiva Award for Excellence in Business Intelligence.  TNT is honored for launching a business intelligence application on the company intranet that delivers current, trusted and relevant business information in multiple languages to TNT’s 43,000 employees around the world.

·        Petrobras, the global energy company based in , will receive The 2005 NII Holdings Award for Best Latin American Company.  NII’s award is conferred to the Latin American company that submitted the best group of nominations to the 2005 International Business Awards.

76 International Stevie Award winners were announced on April 27 in competitive categories ranging from Best Multinational Company and Best New Product to Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program and Best Executive.   21 countries are represented among the International Stevie Award winners this year.
