The Bank has been spearheading the Turkish banking industry’s development while successfully executing its mission of supporting the real economy for 83 years.

With its expertise in SME Banking, Halkbank- Bank of Producing Turkey-develops products and services that meet the needs of the real sector. SMEs in Turkey continue to produce and grow with the support of Halkbank, the leader in SME Banking.

As the challenging period of pandemic, Halkbank increased its support to SME customers by transferring 52.7% of its commercial loans to SMEs, and broke a record by reaching 21.6% market share in SME loans.

Increasing its total assets by 48.8% to 680 Billion Turkish Liras in 2020, Halkbank offers all its financial and brand power, knowledge, experience, technology and infrastructure as supportive and innovative solutions to its customers.

Offering advantageous financial support packages, loans and products, Halkbank aimed to comfort its customers affected by the pandemic with the financial support and to develop a safe-service quality standard so that banking services could continue uninterrupted.

We are People first, and then the Bank

Starting out with the vision of being with its customers in good times and bad times, Halkbank renewed its brand’s main communication strategy and slogan in May 2020 in order to emphasize the way it does business that puts the needs of its customers first.

Inspired by the name Halk(people)-bank, Halkbank changed its new brand slogan to"We are People first, and then the Bank", and has made it its mission to closely monitor the needs of its customers and to offer the most suitable and advantageous solutions throughout the 2020 which is a challenging year.

Safe Service Certificate

Halkbank has carried out a determined work since the first days of pandemic to minimize the risk of transmission with Covid-19 Safe Service Practices. It has developed very strict measures that refer to the guidelines of our Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. Halkbank has been awarded the "Safe Service Certificate" with the efforts to make employees and customers feel safer.

Customers are Safe with Digital Solutions

With its advanced technological infrastructure and digital capabilities, Halkbank developed solutions that its customers can use on mobile or without going to a branch in 2020, with a minimum contact and minimum movement approach in banking transactions. And ensured that its customers can transact safely with solutions that reduce contact.

In 2020, Halkbank's leading credit card ParafCard was also renewed combining debit card and credit card features in one card.

Despite the negative effects of the pandemic, Halkbank achieved growth both in its financial results and in number of customers. It has become one of the banks with the highest growth in credit cards in Turkey.

-Halkbank gained 2.5 million new customers in 2020.
-Halkbank ranked second in cash loans. In 2020, cash and non-cash loan volumes increased 41.4%to 564.3 Billion TL up year-on-year.
- During the pandemic period, Halkbank relieved its customers bydelaying40.1 billion TL loan of 850 thousand corporate and individual customers.
-At the end of 2020, HalkBank extended 100%-interest rate discounted (zero interest rate) loans totaling TRY 33.2 Million.
-In the area of card numbers, Commercial Parafincreased its market share by 10.24% with a record level.The success in this area, where its closest competitor has increased by 3.64%, and where all banks except 3 banks in Turkey have lost their market, is extraordinary.
-In terms ofcredit card turnover, commercial Paraf cardsincreased their market share by 5.29%andbecame the leaderamong the 3 banks that increased their market share in Turkey.
-With all these achievements, commercialParafCardhas moved up 5 places in the number of cards, from 7th to2ndin Turkey.
-Paraf is 2nd in satisfaction rate with 83%. ParafCard is the sector leader on NPS with NPS 51. (Sector average 32)
-Halkbank also achieved a significantlyhigher satisfaction scorethan the sector average of 43, with anNPSscore of60.
