Brothers Jon and Chris Boggiano founded Everblue in 2008 after serving overseas with the U.S. Army. After serving abroad and experiencing the infrastructure of other countries, they were inspired to start a mission-driven company in the United States that would have a positive impact on the environment and our national security. They started offering home energy audits and realized a gap in the marketplace for training energy auditors. Everblue then focused on vocational workforce development in the energy efficiency industry. After 10+ years in the educational technology space, Everblue leveraged this experience to create a software division focused on digital transformation and modernization. In addition to green jobs training, Everblue now offers software as a service to state government agencies, utilities, and nonprofits. Our in-house development team builds on open-source technology to customize the flow of information between systems, ultimately creating a better user experience and automating manual tasks. Most notably, we consult cross-departmental stakeholders about their wants, needs, and pain points and craft a technological solution that addresses (and improves upon) those experiences. With EverCert specifically, we've leveraged our experience in EdTech to digitize state occupational licensing exams and have automated every step in the certification process.

Everblue works with a growing number of state departments of agriculture (MA, NC, TN, FL, CT, RI, IA, AR, KY, VA, MD, and DC) to manage license application, exam, and renewal processes. Our specialty is managing the process for people who are applying for and renewing their credentials, and our EverCert software allows our team to do so efficiently by automating manual steps. EverCert is capable of processing applications, collecting payments, authoring & delivering proctored exams, reporting results, license management, managing continuing education credits, and handling renewal applications. We can also manage subsets of that process. The American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE) awarded our partners in Florida for their innovative vision on modernizing the system that manages the state's certification exams. Our client responded, "Without amazing partners like Everblue, this doesn't happen... Even though Tamara and I were there to collect this award, this really is a team award." Through our collaboration with 10+ state government agencies, EverCert improves the lives of test candidates as well as test administrators. The candidates no longer have to drive to an in-person testing center or schedule a specific appointment for their exam; they are free to test from home when it's convenient. By automating the certification process from end to end, we save test administrators from having to manually hand-grade thousands of paper-based exams. Ultimately, everyone is much happier and more productive.

When our first clients approached us about digitizing their state occupational licensing exams, they came to us seeking online test proctoring. They didn't realize that the other steps in the certification process were capable of being digitized and automated. We opened their eyes to not only that idea but also the fact that we could customize the experience exactly as they wanted to improve the experience overall. When our clients are at the early stages of their research, they tend to only research one step in the process. Therefore, they only find organizations that provide them with a solution for that one step. In actuality, these organizations benefit from having the entire certification process modernized, and that's what Everblue does with the EverCert product. We offer more than simply online test proctoring. In fact, we have partnered with several proctoring companies to offer an array of proctoring options (live, automated, etc.) within our solution. EverCert spans the entire certification process and offers endless customization and security.
