Step into a workplace where your well-being is our top priority—welcome to the Customer Service department at DHL Express Switzerland! We believe that creating a positive and nurturing environment is crucial for achieving a stress-free work-life balance, a healthy mindset and overall well-being.
In 2022, our department launched an array of exciting well-being campaigns. We began by introducing a "Teams Wellbeing Channel" with a virtual feedback box, giving our Customer Service agents, supervisors, and managers a platform to share their ideas. Every month, during our "Wellbeing Meeting," the management reviews and evaluates the feedback, turning inspiring ideas into reality. Since January 2022, we have approved and implemented 22 feedbacks and ideas, with another 12 in the pipeline.
We start by delighting our employees with simple yet deeply appreciated gestures. All-week baskets brimming with seasonal fruits, healthy nuts, and cereal bars provide a refreshing and nutritious snack option. During the summer months, we treat our team to freshly prepared smoothies once a week, while in winter, a heavenly hot chocolate machine is available all week long, providing a delightful energy boost. And for those who prefer a soothing cup of tea, our "Tea Corner" offers a variety of flavours to choose from, always accessible.
Our offices are not just spaces for work; they are havens for relaxation and recreation. Our book and game corner provide a welcome escape from daily tasks, offering a chance to unwind during lunch breaks. We also host various themed events, such as sport BBQs, cinema nights, and raclette dinners, where everyone is invited. These events strengthen friendships, foster a sense of belonging, and cultivate a healthy environment, which in turn nurtures a positive mindset.
Among all the initiatives, two have captured the hearts of our employees—the nap room and yoga classes. For our nap room a meeting room has been transformed into an oasis of relaxation. Equipped with three massage lounge chairs featuring heating functions, serene forest-themed walls, and soothing LED lighting, it's a sanctuary accessible to everyone. Starting in October 2022, the yoga classes have become a beloved weekly ritual. Held every Monday in two sessions, the classes have created a buzz that has spread throughout DHL Express Switzerland.
To make yoga accessible to all employees, regardless of their department or location, we've introduced streaming options since April 2023. Through a video conference system, we ensure that everyone can participate, even if they can't attend in person. The success of these classes has been overwhelming, and we are thrilled to see our well-being program touch the lives of our employees across the country.
To gauge the effectiveness of our well-being program, we conducted a survey featuring ten questions, with a maximum possible score of six points. We were thrilled to discover that the average score across all ten questions was an impressive five points! This feedback reaffirms that we are on the right path, offering you a pleasant, healthy, and unique place to work.
