Trust No One, Until Verified was created as an enterprise wide Cybersecurity Training Video.
In the thought-provoking video "Trust No One, Until Verified," viewers are presented with a sobering depiction of the consequences stemming from a real-life breach of our company. It was used as an educational tool to underscore the importance of good cyber hygiene and that it only takes one mistake to cause chaos within a company. The video revolves the lives of the employees who worked diligently day and night to thwart the malicious actors who tried to infiltration the companies’ network.
The narrative serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing that trust should be a function of security, not convenience. It advocates for a 'zero trust' framework, where verification is mandatory and everything, from user identities to device integrity, is continuously validated. The video encompasses training on recognizing phishing attempts, the importance of multi-factor authentication, not saving your password to your browser and other cyber security best practices. It concludes with a powerful message; that it is everyone responsibility to keep a company safe, complacency in cyber hygiene can be the Achilles' heel for any organization, and vigilance, coupled with robust security practices, is the only way to guard against the ever-evolving threat landscape. The "Trust No One, Until Verified" video is not just a recount of a past breach but a stark reminder and a guide on the importance of implementing and maintaining good cyber hygiene to protect an organization's most valuable assets.

The development of the "Trust No One, Until Verified" video was designed to captivate and educate our worldwide workforce on the criticality of cybersecurity. The planning process began with a clear-cut objective: to create an engaging narrative that would not only seize the attention of employees but also engrain in them the best practices of cyber hygiene. Achieving this in a 15-minute timeframe presented its own set of challenges, necessitating that we distill a complex story into a digestible and memorable short story.
A cross-functional team, including cybersecurity experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists, was assembled to craft a storyboard that would resonate across the Enterprise The creative direction aimed to evoke an emotional response by weaving a relatable story, grounded in the reality of a company's cyber breach ordeal, while incorporating interview style elements and powerful visuals to reinforce key messages.
Balancing the informative aspect with the legal constraints added another layer of complexity to the development process. Every script draft and visual representation underwent meticulous scrutiny to ensure we were compliant with legal standards, avoided fear-mongering and did not disclose any sensitive information.
The result was a high-impact video that struck a chord with employees, fostering a culture of security awareness through a compelling and accessible medium. Despite geographical dispersions and time limitations, the video successfully instilled a sense of personal responsibility in each viewer to uphold the company's cybersecurity defenses, thus achieving its goal of bolstering the human firewall against the ever-present threat of bad actors.
