    Founded in 1981, Aires is a full-service global relocation and assignment management company (services collectively known as “global mobility”). In the mobility industry, clients often face issues such as lack of communication between relocation and other service providers, lack of compliance reporting/relocation information in a single dashboard, and multiple website logins to view program information. In responding to a request from one client, Aires originally partnered with a Big 4 tax provider to integrate data for our shared clients through APIs, enhancing ownership and transparency of our relocation and tax services. Seeing the value for our broader client base, Aires built and continues to expand our ecosystem, known as AiresXchange, providing API systems integrations with key partners so that data is available through a “single pane of glass.”

    The ecosystem’s key components include:

    • Dual Service Initiation: When program management and employee records are created in Aires’ online tool, MobilityX, a company can then initiate activities within the partner’s tool. By initiating projects in just one system, clients can decrease duplicate data entry and improve data accuracy while minimizing authorization time.
    • Milestone Tracking: Key dates for important partner services (such as tax briefings and tax compliance processes) are shared between Aires and the partner. As a result, the status of both the partner services and mobility services are displayed in the MobilityX portal. Drill-down reporting connects to the partner system for, and a program dashboard includes reports on compliance, travel, and documentation.
    • Reporting: Aires and our partners can share cost data as desired in order to consolidate all cost data in a single dashboard, either in MobilityX or the partner system so clients can view total global mobility spend from a single data source and within a single report.

    Currently, we have API connections built with 15 key partners spanning HRIS/HCM, tax, immigration, data suppliers, household goods, and destination services providers. We additionally have 6 more connections in final development and are exploring additional expansions to meet client needs.

    The impact of this tool for clients is significant. It allows Aires and our partners to mitigate risk exposure and improve data integrity; fewer people are involved and there is no need for duplicate data entry. For large clients, we estimate an average of 7,500 hours of time saved in administrative effort (overhead costs typically reduced for Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Mobility, & other stakeholders). With dual initiation between providers, billing accuracy is improved by 20% since incorrect billing codes provided at initiation are the leading cause of invoice errors. Additionally, program managers could see the initiation process reduced by up to six days. Ultimately, integration of systems allows clients to focus on how to best use data to drive the business forward, rather than focusing on data entry and administrative tasks.

    As one client noted, “Our business continues to see change and growth in the technology space. At a mobility conference, I shared how many spreadsheets I open up each morning as a mobility program owner and how many different logins I have to different partner systems – even though I work at a technology company. Aires listened and built the integration data flow. As a fast-moving company, we like to work with service partners with the same agile mindset to drive efficiencies, who challenge the norms, build technology tools, and collaborate between teams with the same goals in mind. Aires and our partners have demonstrated a great team synergy on our mobility program and the completed API integration project is the latest example of this.
