The past several years have seen an unprecedented amount of large scale data breaches, hitting companies of all types and sizes. While the origin and attack method for these breaches vary, the key issues at stake in the majority of these breaches is inappropriate access to sensitive company data. Identity and Access Management helps organizations streamline and manage all types of access to ensure that employees and partners only have access to the data they need to do their specific job. By carefully managing identities and appropriately granting users only the correct access for their job, companies can better avoid suspicious activity and reduce the attack surface.

Dell One Identity Cloud Access Manager 8.0 leverages Dell’s new Security Analytics Engine to give organizations contextual control of access to web-based applications and OpenID Connect-compliant mobile application. This adaptive control improves security and enables easier, appropriate access across a wide range of application types and access scenarios. Adding new social and mobile authentication capabilities, Cloud Access Manager gives users secure and convenient access to the broadest range of both legacy and emerging applications, while providing IT with the security and control it requires.

Cloud Access Manager 8.0 addresses a number of customer pain points. Organizations today typically have a highly diverse user population that includes partners and customers who require access but are completely outside of IT’s control. Cloud Access Manager differentiates itself from competitors by baking in capabilities that other vendors sell as add-ons. The introduction of Secure Analytics Engine into CAM marks the first move to unifying multiple Dell security products under a context-aware security umbrella.
