The Incentive Program Final Night Celebration aimed at recognizing and lauding our client's highest EMEA sales achievers in the most memorable and unique way possible. Incentivizing this group is incredibly important and we partner with our client to make the event not only play to an audience who are used to being wined and dined, but be a resoundingly one-of-a-kind, unparalleled experience; that creates memorable moments and keeps attendees captivated while feeling celebrated in the most exceptional way possible.
Our theme for the evening was "Off-Center," utilizing changing perspectives and juxtaposition to create unexpected moments and unique experiences for the audience, beginning with moving the audience from their rural hotel to an indistrual warehouse in Lisbon's arts district.
Approaching the venue through an alleyway, we installed a drum corps to enliven and welcome guests. Entering the venue through a narrow brick hallway, attendees were confronted with a high-ceilinged, dramatically lit, raw space. Shifting perspectives from resounding drums, attendees were confronted with an off-axis 15-ft square stage, a 15-ft square LED “jewel box" floating above emblazoned with intricate geometric patterns, reminiscent of a Victorian lampshade. The mix of modern and antique was furthered by an eighteen-member Bulgarian folk choir, in a circle facing eachother, glowingly lit from within. The ancient chants echoing through the space added to the cathedral-like feel, and their backs to the audience made them less spectacle, and more living sculpture.
Servers wore shirts featuring quotes from European artists, in varying languages; phrases about how to live in an art-conscious way. As the choir’s set ended, the LED jewel box lowered, displaying a new jewel texture pattern, and a South African band—BCUC—began performing their energetic, afro-psychedelic trance music on a perimeter stage. Multi-percussions and layers of voices created a celebratory, upbeat atmosphere. BCUC performed three sets throughout the evening, bringing energy up between more focused performances.
Next, the LED jewel box rose, while a contemporary take on the classic jewel box ballerina song played, revealing a Ukrainian hand-balancing/viola duo on a rotating chair, accompanied by sweeping classical music. Another rising of the LED box revealed an actual ballerina accompanied by a juggling trio (from England and Italy) performing and interacting with each other. Later, an energetic performance by the Lisbon Breakers breakdancers was then followed by the return of one of the Bulgarian choir members, this time accompanied by a beat boxer—again juxtaposing the old and the new, creating an audial dreamscape, something wholly unique and unexpected.
Next, the diaphanous sounds of whales and dolphins became audible. Above attendees’ heads, inflatable, remote control flying whales and dolphins floated through the air, descending and ascending, swimming through the dreamlike atmosphere. A mid-tempo dance song played, and the jugglers with glowing balls returned. After a short performance, the flying whales and dolphins, followed by the jugglers, led the attendees into an adjacent room where a light-up LED floor signaled the beginning of the dance party.
Our main client’s sentiments: “TENCUE, once again you have outdone yourselves. Thank you for captivating our audience and provding them with unforgettable experiences. The environment you provided created memories for our top performers that will last forever."
