ReView is the only tool of its kind.

With IP addresses worth thousands or millions of dollars, auditing and tracking them is critical.

Companies don’t trust the accuracy of their IP address records. M&A, old records, disconnected customers or segments, incomplete IP Address Management (IPAM) tools, and staff transitions can lead to inaccuracies.

Most universities have unused IPv4 addresses at their disposal — a significant potential source of capital to boost their capital. Yet most are unaware of how many unused IPv4 blocks they have available or how selling them could release much-needed capital to support growth initiatives.

ReView was developed by IPv4.Global in collaboration with 6connect to resolve these concerns.

ReView provides users with an audit report on the utilization of their addresses, revealing inefficiencies such as unused IPv4 address blocks. Surplus blocks can be monetized for additional revenue or redeployed for growth to avoid purchases. Beyond improving network visibility, ReView enables faster IP address block segmentation and streamlines network expansion.

ReView allows network operators and administrators to quickly and easily gain visibility of their IP address allocations. ReView allows users to easily understand how their IP addresses are allocated and assigned.

Using ReView, users can quickly find and view used and free IPs, giving their company the opportunity to efficiently consolidate used space and view the resulting potential market rate of their aggregated unused IP space.

To perform an IP address audit using ReView, users provide their name and email address to receive a link for a free download of the app for Windows, Apple, or Linux. The tool includes scanning options like ping and nmap, data options like pulling information from DNS and DHCP, and the ability to parse device configurations. All data is stored locally unless the user decides to share it with IPv4.Global or 6connect. The app then lists the IP blocks that are in use, allowing users to see how efficiently their IP address blocks are being used.

No other tool exists that can audit and provide a completely accurate inventory of IP address blocks to the extent ReView can.

  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Outline the market performance, critical reception, and customer satisfaction with the product or service to date. State monetary or unit sales figures to date, if possible, and how they compare to expectations or past performance. Provide links to laudatory product or service reviews. Include some customer testimonials, if applicable (up to 350 words):

IPv4.Global recently worked with California State University (CSU) – Stanislaus. Using ReView, IPv4.Global audited the university’s IPv4 address utilization and uncovered that of the university’s 65,536 IP addresses, only 110 were in use. IPv4.Global developed a plan to carefully renumber needed IP addresses to prevent any outages or concerns from students. IPv4.Global created a “/16” (a network block totaling approximately 64,000 IP addresses) to sell, generating more than $2 million for the university.

Using ReView, IPv4.Global helped a northeastern private liberal arts college sell their unused IPv4 addresses for $3 million, which they applied to operating expenses and student financial assistance, securing the institution’s financial future.

“Like many universities and colleges that were assigned large blocks of IPv4 years ago, we knew that we had an abundance of unused addresses. However, we did not realize just how valuable those addresses were,” said Pete Mizera of Hartwick College. “IPv4 Global brought the value of those addresses to our attention and helped us with the sale of them. Overall, working with the knowledgeable and professional folks at IPv4 Global was a terrific experience as well as a very nice windfall for the college.”

Al Speckens, Interim Deputy CIO at Stan State, praised their recent collaboration: "The combined IPv4.Global and 6connect teams were very professional. Their expertise was invaluable, and they kept us on track. I highly recommend their services."

We have included a link to the ReView launch release, as well as a link to recent ReView upgrades. We also shared links to the ReView webpage and blog post as additional background. Finally, we’re also sharing an early case study on Cal State/Stan State, which we reference in our entry. We are in the client approval stage on the case study, as well as in the early stages of media conversations for exclusive coverage so do not have a public posting on IPv4.Global’s webpage but will once we have final approvals/coverage. Unfortunately, that will not happen in advance of entry deadlines. Case study is confidential for now but okay to share with Judges.
