In Reach by AmeriHealth Caritas was launched in February of 2020 to highlight important healthcare trends and topics, including solutions aimed at dismantling the barriers to quality care and the social determinants of health. With real-life examples and expert insights, the publication broadens awareness around the significance of addressing people as a whole, rather than focusing solely on issues of physical health, to help achieve maximum wellbeing and independence. Every issue features essays, stories and research that are top of mind among providers, healthcare experts, community organizations and policymakers involved in the support and care of vulnerable populations. The third issue of In Reach by AmeriHealth Caritas examines the health and racial inequities that were exacerbated and further highlighted by the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as how the lessons learned from these experiences can help us improve access to resources for underserved communities.
