Transact’s Mobile Credential provides an NFC-enabled, secure, mobile-centric campus environment with contactless student ID credentials for effortless, campus-wide transactions and access privileges. Transact was the first Mobile Credential solution provider to offer native near field communication (NFC) contactless mobile IDs, leveraging Apple Wallet and Google Pay, which run on billions of devices worldwide, including wearables. It creates a seamless experience for students navigating campus by offering secure access to facilities and residence halls, as well as the ability to make payments for dining, laundry, print and copy, vending, and retail. Like all of Transact's solutions, Mobile Credential supports integration with critical systems like ERP, financial systems, and building/security systems. Students using mobile device simply present their phones or wearables to NFC-enabled readers on campus to conduct transactions that are secure and frictionless. Transact Mobile Credential also provides students the same Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provisioning and usage experience on campus, regardless of which Apple or Android phone they are using. 93 schools chose Transact as their Mobile Credential provider, including Duke University, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University and The University of Oklahoma.
