To celebrate a decade of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, Forbes partnered with Rocket Mortgage to host the first-ever hybrid Under 30 Summit. Their goal? Deliver an unforgettable attendee experience, regardless of whether attendees joined in-person or online. The duo worked side by side to bolster the hybrid experience with innovative networking opportunities, exclusive experiences, and an agenda full of game-changers and visionaries—while staying mindful of the latest health guidelines.
As the title sponsor, it was important to Forbes to integrate Rocket Mortgage authentically into the whole experience. From branded lounges to signage, the design of the Summit was truly collaborative. On the day of the event, Forbes even changed its profile photo on social to include the co-branded event logo — giving Rocket more integration within Forbes’ editorial ecosystem than any other partner before, while reaching millions.
In October 2021, the Summit convened over 800 attendees and 3K virtual attendees for three days of programming in Detroit. Speakers like Whitney Wolfe Herd, Travis Montaque, Alexandra Cooper and Maria Sharapova took to the stage — as well as Dan Gilbert who made a moving and surprise appearance.
Regardless of how someone joined, they got to engage with the biggest innovators of the last decade. In-person, listers were invited to exclusive, curated experiences. Online, attendees were welcomed to Detroit’s Woodward Ave in a virtual networking hub with avatar-style navigation and sponsor experiences, like the Rocket Mortgage Park. (Fun fact: more than a quarter of all virtual attendees joined Gather during the summit and 40% spent at least one hour inside.)
Three days, 3.9M impressions, 4.5K virtual conversations, and 10K total registrants later, the Summit accomplished its goal. With Forbes and Rocket Mortgage working together, the hybrid celebration is one listers will forever remember.
