The first event of its kind Piece of Cake Moving took over the Wollman Rink in Central Park NYC, with a 1,000 free entry admissions and skate rentals on the 19th of December 2021.
This brand engagement event was hosted for the larger NYC community and Piece of Cake customers. Piece of Cake wanted to bring and share joy with NYC, as an acknowledgment of the bumpy year New Yorkers have experienced with COVID 19. Inspired by the resilience of New York this event was a thank you to NY. The event tagline " Keep Moving NYC" was inspired by the company TM tagline For the City That Never Stops Moving. Ensouraging NY to skate with Piece of Cake and show us their best winter moves on ice.
1000 + attendees lined up before 10am (as highlight in the video) to enter the rink on behalf of Piece of Cake. Painting the rink pink ( the same color of Piece of Cake’s trucks) members of the public wore their free Piece of Cake beanies on the rink (highlighted in photos and videos).
The key objective of the day was - big smiles, as is Piece of Cake’s customer experience motto. With two mascots (refer to photos) circling the rink and overlooking the balcony in Central Park engaging with children and families.
Piece of Cake Moving is well known for our unmatched customer service, with over 35,000+ moves preformed in NYC in 2021. This event was created to embody the brands actual customer experience on their moving day - enjoyable, seamless with a wow element of surprise.

This event concept and excution was entirely in house lead by Piece of Cake Marketing Director Najah Ayoub. With the design support of Heartland Agency and Mat Voyce.
