    In the NGSS classroom, students don’t passively receive information. Instead, they observe phenomena, define problems, and make discoveries. Students answer their own questions by DOING science.

    Making sense of phenomena drives student learning throughout Experience Chemistry. When Experience Chemistry was introduced for the 2020-2021 school year, it was met with great success and excitement from chemistry teachers and school administrators alike. Educators appreciate the program’s research-based instructional design and phenomena-focused learning, a key feature advanced by the NGSS. They also hail Experience Chemistry’s focus on student engagement, including activities that move students from experiencing a phenomenon to developing an understanding of the major concept.
