In June 2020, Zonar launched Zonar MyView™ into the pupil transportation market. The mobile application provides insights on details and location information of school buses enroute to and from schools. MyView brings peace of mind to parents who use the app to see where their child’s school bus is. MyView captures ridership data through a Zonar-issued RFID card. Students scan their cards as they enter and exit the bus. The scan captures the exact time, location, and bus number. Parents then receive instant alerts of when and where their child boarded and exited the bus. With MyView, parents have accessible, instantaneous data at their fingertips and don’t need to worry about where the bus is, if it’s running late, or if they missed it. MyView’s back-end dispatcher portal enables school districts to communicate any bus changes, delays, or breakdowns directly to parents’ phones. In 2021, Zonar made two additions it’s pupil suite-- Zonar OnRoute™, a route-agnostic turn-by-turn direction solution, and Zonar Access™, a driver task and time management application.
Inclusively, Zonar entered into a strategic partnership with Transfinder, the national leader in intelligent transportation systems, to leverage Zonar’s GPS data and EVIR® with Transfinder’s Routefinder and Servicefinder solutions. Zonar also partnered with Bytecurve, a leader in transportation technology solutions, to jointly address the school transportation industry’s operational challenges and meet strong marketplace demand for a unified bus scheduling, dispatch and employee time and attendance platform. Zonar solutions are now on 200K of the almost 500K school buses in North America.
