This video was produced in January of 2003 and presented at the HIMSS
tradeshow the following month.

Briefly describe this nomination’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

The big screen has taken us on amazing voyages into the human body, but this
simulator video allowed riders to accompany a patient throughout a procedure,
while simultaneously riding the flow of data between members of the health care
team, administrators, and insurers. The patient experience was captured on Beta
SP, on location at UNC-Chapel Hill. Graphics, effects, and pacing synced to
motion, delivered riders to the heart of health information solutions. Through this
immersive simulation, they entered the digital hospital.
