Kerry Trainor has been the CEO of Vimeo since 2013. In this capacity he is responsible for the strategy, oversight, and development of Vimeo’s business. Kerry Trainor has grown the company and its management team and improved the company’s offerings by entering mobile Video on Demand (VOD) and providing monetization of videos for content creators.
Monetization
• In 2012, Vimeo began monetization efforts with the launch of a Tip Jar feature allowing viewers to voluntarily donate to the content creator.
• In 2013 and 2014, Vimeo launched Vimeo on Demand, with a Paywall option giving content creators complete control over what portion of the film can be seen and how much it costs . Vimeo takes 10% of the revenue, much less than their competitors. Mobile In 2013 and 2014,

New Management Team In 2013,
Vimeo Appointed Its first CFO, Mark Pinney. “Mark brings a wealth of video, subscription, and media experience to Vimeo,” said Vimeo CEO Kerry Trainor. In 2014, Sam Toles joined as vice president of content acquisitions and business development. He will be focused on expanding the content offerings and revenue growth for Vimeo On Demand.

Kerry Trainor is the Chief Executive Officer of Vimeo. In this capacity he is responsible for the strategy, oversight, and development of Vimeo’s business. Mr. Trainor joins Vimeo from AOL, where he most recently served as SVP and General Manager, Entertainment for the Huffington Post Media Group. In this position he oversaw AOL's portfolio of entertainment properties including AOL Music, AOL TV, Moviefone, Huffington Post Entertainment, Huffington Post Celebrity and Huffington Post Comedy. Prior to AOL, Mr. Trainor was co-founder and CEO of FlipGloss Media, which was acquired by Forbes Media.. Prior to FlipGloss, Mr. Trainor was Head of Global Media Products for Yahoo! Music. Mr. Trainor began his Internet career at music startup LAUNCH.com which was acquired by Yahoo!
