First responders pay a heavy toll for their years of community service: a cost that is often paid at the expense of their health, families, and sometimes their lives. To help officers process their daily exposure to trauma, agency leaders are turning to Mindbase, an innovative solution that provides the framework and motivation for modern wellness programs that open the door to healthy conversations about officer mental health.
Mindbase was built by police officers for police officers to provide the essential building blocks of a comprehensive officer wellness program, including peer support, early identification, self-service content and case management. The app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, empowering leaders to proactively detect personnel in need while preserving confidentiality leveraging real-time case data. For example, if an officer was involved in a traumatizing incident or exhibited out-of-standards behavior, their peers can reach out to them and offer support. First responders will be notified through the app about available personalized learning content. They can access a structured peer support network, clinically backed resources, national crisis helplines. Mindbase’s platform includes personalized emotional fitness tracking and agency-specific assessments designed to assist officers (active and retired) in their wellness journeys.
