Trustifi addresses network security in its ability to provide best-in-class account compromise detection, and has many other features that were updated and enhanced in 2021.

    Feature updates include:

Enhanced Sensitivity Detection and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Engines

Trustifi’s sensitivity engine now allows users to conduct “tests” on email content prior to assigning security rules within the solution. An intuitive new “test it now” tool lets administrators upload emails for scanning and analysis. The tool generates a sensitivity score reflecting the level of risk associated with that content. In addition, Trustifi has added a roster of new categories to its sensitivity detection criteria. These include flight tickets, CT/X-ray scans, VISA applications, video meeting links, and more, accommodating a broad array of content that might be targeted for attack.

    New “Proactive Defense” Feature

This new tool allows users to perform a threat detection scan on back emails, up to the last 1,000 inbound messages received. Trustifi’s “Inbound Shield” threat detection system then quarantines or removes all malicious emails, providing retroactive protection that’s especially valuable for new users.

Relay-based functionality superior to SEGs: Hackers have switched gears and developed phishing methods that are near impervious to traditional security email gateways (SEGs). Trustifi offers a relay-based, API-based security approach using AI and optical character recognition. This type of attack falls under the umbrella of BEC, or Business Email Compromise. Threats that did not exist before the prevalence of cloud-based email are not detected by these legacy SEG solutions, a fact that has necessitated a complete reinvention of email security. Trustifi enhanced its AI and OCR features in 2021 to address these new threats.

Due to its dependence on the “whitelisting” of approved IP addresses, the authentication method between SEGs and email servers has become weak. SEGs function based on IP reputations, global blacklists, and signatures—all outdated metrics inapplicable to the latest cyber email threats.

  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Outline the market performance, critical reception, and customer satisfaction with the product or service to date. State monetary or unit sales figures to date, if possible, and how they compare to expectations or past performance. Provide links to laudatory product or service reviews. Include some customer testimonials, if applicable (up to 350 words):

Trustifi increased its partner base by 50% and revenues by 400% in 2021. We’re growing our market share in verticals that particularly deal with sensitive material every day, including government, education, healthcare, and finance. Similarly, we’ve seen growth in local markets for companies like real estate offices, CPAs, tax attorneys, and retail companies. Trustifi provides military grade encryption with an AES256 algorithm to support these customers. Two-factor authentication requires the recipient to either insert a correct password (determined by the sender) or retrieve a PIN either from SMS/phone call or from an email, making it the only way to access this data.

Trustifi works with a specialty provider that offers security solutions to healthcare organizations. He supports his healthcare clientele with our email encryption software. One of the executives at the hospital system inadvertently sent a spreadsheet that included confidential figures and data that was not supposed to be shared outside the organization for risk of a HIPAA violation. We were able to coach that executive on how to immediately swap-out that attachment for a revised version with the sensitive information removed.

Testimonial from MSP client:  David Santistevan, president at Concentrics (Denver, Colorado based solution provide). According to Santistevan, Trustifi’s approach to cyber security is “breakthrough.”

“The traditional or typical view is the use of gateways that essentially apply a ‘back-and-forth’ type of approach to encryption through mail servers,” he explained. “Over the past year, we learned about and took a different methodology and solution to our customers, enabling a more feature-rich means of protection with deeper value. In the past, for example, if someone hit the send button on an email, they’d pretty much be out of luck.”

New phishing techniques analyze how employees communicate, then hijack high-level executive email accounts. E.g., they impersonate C-level personnel and request wire transfers. This type of sophisticated attack can only be detected through the use of AI filters and optical character recognition.

  6. You have the option to answer this final question: Reference any attachments of supporting materials throughout this nomination and how they provide evidence of the claims you have made in this nomination (up to 250 words):
