    At just 25 years old, Samuel Van Wynen is the chief executive officer of Top Tier Solar Solutions. He started in the solar industry in 2017 canvassing door-to-door. Despite having little to no prior experience with sales, business or the industry itself, he quickly found vast levels of success. After spending four years on the ground gaining hands-on experience and expertise, he realized that there were many things in the industry that could be done better to provide a more seamless transition to solar for homeowners. So, in August 2021, with no capital, private equities or investors, he took his life savings and set out to build a company unlike anything else in the solar industry. The goal was for the company to be based on being radically transparent with both customers and employees, and providing an unmatched customer experience. Today, in just one year of business, Top Tier Solar Solutions has quickly become the top solar provider in the Carolinas, and the fastest growing vertically integrated solar company in the nation. The company ended its first fiscal year with $50 million in revenue, and with an additional three locations opening up in 2023, the company is anticipated to make $130 million in revenue in 2023. What makes Top Tier Solar Solutions different from its competitors is the fact that it provides all services in-house, thus allowing them to offer lower costs to homeowners because there are no costs for outsourcing to third-parties. With an in-house sales and installation team, the company was able to install  12,000 kilowatts, which is equivalent to 1,500 solar systems in its first fiscal year. The company is a premium installer with leading industry dealers such as Enphase and CED GreenTech, and has successfully spun off alarm and roofing subsidiaries within its first year - both of which are cash positive. Despite his young age, Samuel Van Wynen is setting up his company to not only provide economic growth to the renewable energy sector and economic opportunity to all of the business’ locations, he is striving to provide a better tomorrow for future generations by helping to provide affordable renewable energy to all.
