Tieks are stylish, comfortable, durable, and foldable, come in a wide range of colors, and are designed to fold and fit in a purse. It takes three days and more than 150 steps to create a single pair of Tieks, and each pair is crafted from the finest Italian leathers (or vegan textiles) and specially treated to be flexible yet durable. Tieks feature a flexible outsole, midsole, insole, and upper that mold to the shape of your foot - ensuring each pair feels supple and comfortable. All Tieks come beautifully packaged in a signature Tiek Blue box, topped with an embellished Tieks flower.

In 2008, after studying material science at Stanford, CEO Kfir Gavrieli co-founded the footwear company, Tieks by Gavrieli. Today, nearly 15 years later, Tieks are considered one of the most versatile designer flats in the world.

Tieks has long been committed to philanthropic endeavors around the globe. In April 2022, Tieks held a virtual auction and rallied its community to raise funds for refugees of the war in Ukraine. During a four-day period, Tieks auctioned off one-of-a-kind and limited-edition ballet flats, raising upwards of $87,000, with all of the proceeds going towards meals for war-affected Ukrainians. Through a partnership with World Central Kitchen, the #TieksForUkraine event provided approximately 20,000 meals to Ukrainian families. 

Through the Gavrieli Foundation, Tieks has contributed more than $10,000,000 to over 55,000 female entrepreneurs through the micro-loan platform Kiva, making Tieks the largest individual lender on the platform. Tieks has built on this legacy of social impact, successfully implementing several campaigns to grow the organization's outreach and positively impact the community. 

During the height of the pandemic, Tieks recognized the need for PPE and launched Operation #SewTOGETHER to solicit mask donations from customers for healthcare workers. Their website provided instructions on how to make masks at home and offered up to $100 Tieks gift cards for every 50 masks donated. Following this campaign, Tieks launched Tieks for Heroes, which offered Tieks gift cards to frontline healthcare workers. 

In August 2021, Tieks expanded upon this campaign with the Tieks for Teachers campaign - a way to thank those operating our nation’s education system while navigating challenges during the pandemic. As schools prepared for back-to-school season, educators and staff members were eligible for a Tieks gift card.

Tieks has a strong track record of giving back to the community – whether that be sewing masks during the pandemic, giving back to frontline workers, or empowering female entrepreneurs around the globe. While Tieks’ high quality shoes and loyal following speaks for itself, the ethos of the company elevates the overall brand.

Many of Tieks’ competitors offer donations based on percentage of sales, but Tieks acts a member of the greater community - uniquely engaging with their fanbase and leveraging this support for the greater good. For example, upon hearing about critical shortages of PPE among hospital workers at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kfir Gavrieli mobilized his staff and supporters of Tieks to help. Tieks’ manufacturing facility in Southern California quickly became a mask-making assembly line, producing thousands of masks for donation to the area’s front-line health workers. Tieks then launched Operation #SewTogether, an online social media campaign that rewarded  Tieks’ supporters with gift cards in exchange for joining the company’s mask-making efforts and sewing along with the Tieks in-house team. As a result, Tieks was able to donate over one million masks to healthcare workers in need.

While Tieks is a company that creates high-quality and versatile shoes, they are more than just that. They are a community working together to support the greater good.
