As consumers nationwide continue to struggle with the cost of prescription drugs – Americans spend $1,300 annually on their medications, more than any other country in the world – RxSense announced its collaboration with Walgreens to launch RxSavings Finder, a new digital marketplace for consumers to access lower prices on thousands of prescription medications at Walgreens pharmacies nationwide. Through the new Rx Savings Finder, powered by RxSense, Walgreens customers can now conveniently compare prices available through a variety of free prescription discount cards to access savings. To use the finder tool, customers just need to type their prescription into a search bar and then click on the lowest cost coupon available. From there, they can either text, email or print it, or  show the card from their phone to their local Walgreens pharmacist for immediate savings of up to 80% off the retail price of prescriptions.

When RxSense developed the marketplace product with Walgreens, RxSense always had the end user in mind. It was designed for ease of use, so the RxSense team developed the tool to be available in both English and Spanish as well as ADA compliant. Also, in order to avoid friction at the pharmacy, the API integrations with the participating partners provides prescription discount prices in real-time. Not only does the tool benefit consumers, but it also lightens the workload for pharmacy staff.

With as many as 18 million Americans unable to afford their medications, this free tool will bring meaningful financial relief to help people with access to and adherence to their medications. “RxSense is focused on delivering technology solutions to the market that offer price transparency and lower drug costs to our partners and their patients, and this new website will empower more consumers with access to deeper discounts on their medications,” said Rick Bates, founder and CEO of RxSense.
