To say the world at large has changed a lot since January 1, 2021, would be an understatement. To say the world of retail has changed a lot since then would be a massive understatement. At a time when many retailers were struggling just to keep the doors open, Jim Donnelly, the CEO of Restore Hyper Wellness, guided his company through unprecedented growth in the face of highly volatile and uncertain times.
In 2021, as the world began to emerge from the effects of the pandemic and many in the retail space were trying to adjust to the “new normal,” under Jim’s leadership the company saw a 72% YOY increase in growth in same-store sales. In the first three quarters of 2021 they opened 30 new locations across the U.S. and sold 203 additional franchise territories. Overall the company would open 45 new locations.
Giving back to the community is very important to Jim and in June of 2021, Jim and his team launched the Restore Does More Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the Restore Hyper Wellness umbrella. The Restore Does More Foundation strives to educate & support communities and Restore employees on the importance of wellness, empowering everyone to seek out a proactive wellness path.
One of the campaigns launched by the Restore Does More Foundation is “Operation DELTA MIKE”, which provides education on the benefits of Restore services that support our veteran’s unique wellness needs, while ensuring veteran access to those services. In addition, the “Restore Fit Challenge” helps underserved communities afford medical services, build and promote educational materials and help Restore employees who've experienced unforeseen hardships.
In 2022, as the world teetered on the brink of a recession, Jim led his company to a 16% increase in same-store growth and opened another 67 new locations. In that same year, Donnelly launched a Medical Advisory Board, which provides medical oversight and direction of current and future modalities offered at Restore. The Board works with Restore’s medical leadership team, seven medical directors, over thirty nurse practitioners and over 750 registered nurses providing medical services in Restore’s wellness studios. The Board members bring a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience that align with Restore’s priorities of offering a wellness experience that is proactive, effective and transparent with the safest protocols across all its wellness studios.
Under Jim’s leadership, Restore Hyper Wellness secured a $140M investment, allowing Restore Hyper Wellness to expand faster across the country and make hyper wellness more accessible.
