To usher in a year of booming travel, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and PHL Food & Shops collaborated to create the DiscoverPHL Airport Guide. The print publication provided travelers with an introductory look at the many amenities PHL and the City of Philadelphia have to offer.
The curated collection of editorials, articles and other features, included:
- Simplified map to help travelers navigate the airport and find food and shop locations;
- Ads for PHL Food & Shops merchants, some of which featured special offerings and promotional items;
- Editorials spotlighting various Philadelphia businesses;
- Features on the PHL Food & Shops Employee Ambassador program, which honors exemplary employees who go above and beyond in the name of customer service;
- Highlights on PHL’s Art Exhibitions Program, which displays artwork from local artists throughout the airport terminals
A subsequent edition highlighted timely events, performances and activities at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, situated along the picturesque Delaware River waterfront and the Kimmel Cultural Center, Philadelphia’s preeminent performing arts venue.

Designed to build interest and bring excitement to travelers about the fun that awaits them while visiting Philadelphia, the Guide was made available to travelers at PHL’s network of airport information desks and is also posted online.
