In the fall of 2023, Grammy award-winning vocalist Harry Styles announced that his brand Pleasing would be opening a temporary brick-and-mortar retail experience at 61 Crosby Street in Soho. In addition to selling Harry’s line of nail polish, beauty products, and apparel, this pop-up location would be the debut destination for his newest line of fragrances: Bright Hot, Rivulets, and Closeness.
The goal for the November 16th launch was to create an immersive space that brought Pleasing’s uniquely-inspired brand aesthetic to life in a delightful, pop-up shopping experience. We took over the once-empty NYC retail space with an eclectic mix of color, shapes, and materials, bringing the brand to life and delighting fans, influencers, and shoppers alike.
Pendulum Creative fabricated, printed, and installed all custom assets in addition to providing technical drawings, samples, and color-matched print graphics and finishes.
We transformed every inch of the retail space with checkered linoleum flooring, color and texture-matched checkered walls, dimensional Venetian-style mirrors, custom crown molding, and drapery.
Featuring a grand archway, dressing rooms, circular counters, and retail displays with rounded edges, ornate ivory, and walnut trim detailing, each piece brought to life the distinctive aesthetic of the new Pleasing era while optimizing shopper flow and spatial balance in a luxurious environment.
While the pop-up location greeted lucky Soho fans and shoppers in person, the Pleasing brand’s 1.5 million Instagram followers and 800K+ TikTok followers also joined in, viewing video tours of the space from the brand and engaging with content from other visitors and influencers.
