“Excellence” introduces readers to the people, places, and things that separate NYU Langone Medical Center from its competitors and was designed to contextually and visually capture the momentum that is carrying the medical center in new directions, as the institution gains greater national and international recognition and renown. Excellence is the standard that guides the Medical Center’s work in all three of its mission areas—patient care, research, and education—and the report effectively captures and communicates the passion, energy, and skill it takes to reach that level. The strategic goal of the 2011 annual report was to generate public interest in the institution, inspire internal faculty and staff, attract future donors, and drive patient volume to NYU Langone Medical Center.
