At the beginning of 2020, Noted Marketing was poised for growth - the team had recently increased its revenue by more than 50% y/y, doubled its account base and was prepared to invest in future team expansion. Then, COVID-19 hit and nearly all clients hit "pause" on their future brand and growth plans.
Undeterred, the Noted team decided to adjust its services and position itself as a temporary solution for companies that needed interim marketing support to fill in staffing gaps. This allowed Noted to diversify its client base, signing both a large Fortune 10 client as well as its first international client in 2020. The team also launched an advisory service line to help in-house Chief Marketing Officers and VPs of Marketing better optimize their existing marketing team, operations and infrastructure amidst budget cuts and increased pressure from investors and executive leadership.
Noted's quick pivoting allowed the company to finish the year strong, seeing a nearly 50% revenue growth y/y despite the challenges of COVID. The investments in expanding the company's services and diversifying its client base again paid off in 2021, as the company increased its client base by nearly 25%, doubled its team size and continued to grow revenue by nearly 40%.
