nCino was founded in a bank to improve the institution’s operations and client service. After realizing that virtually all banks and credit unions were dealing with the same problems—cumbersome technology, fragmented data, disconnected business functions, and a disengaged workforce—we were spun out as a separate company in 2011. This is the foundation of our deep banking domain expertise, which differentiates us, continues to drive our strategy and makes us qualified to help banks and credit unions cross the modernization divide by providing a comprehensive solution that onboards clients, originates loans and opens any account on a single, cloud-based platform.

nCino’s Cloud Banking Platform is transforming commercial and small business lending for community/regional banks. We introduced this solution to financial institutions in the United States in 2014 expanding across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Throughout this market expansion, we broadened the nCino Platform by adding functionality for retail lending, client onboarding, deposit account opening, analytics and AI/ML.

We will continue to invest in and expand the depth and breadth of our solutions. We believe our product development and global expansion initiatives will continue to drive revenue and customer growth to transform the financial services industry.

  4. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this second question: Outline the organization's achievements since the beginning of 2021 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

This platform provides all the functionality necessary to complete mission-critical workflow, enabling client onboarding, loan origination and deposit account opening.

A global movement of outperformers have made the leap with the nCino Cloud Banking Platform, leveraging technology to power client/employee experiences, drive growth efficiencies and run their institutions with full integrity.

As a result, our customers have achieved results such as: a 67% increase in loans over a three-year time period, a 70% improvement in closing time, 63% faster originations and a 52% reduction in paper-based processing, in addition to increased client growth and retention, and reduced policy exceptions and operating costs.
