Modus Create is a digital transformation consulting company that builds customer-centric products, processes, and platforms to help businesses succeed in the digital economy. Founded in 2011, Modus Create has grown to more than 450 engineers, IT architects, product managers, designers, and security professionals across 50 countries. In recent years, Modus Create has grown by nearly 300 consultants, opened a new global office in San José, Costa Rica, launched a new security consulting practice, and deepened its commercial partnerships with tech leaders like Atlassian, Ionic, AWS, and Aha!. In 2021, Inc. Magazine rated Modus as one of the fastest-growing American companies for the 7th year in a row. In 2020, Modus was also named to Inc.’s list of the 250 fastest growing companies in the D.C.-Metro area. Modus also received regional recognition from DCALive’s Red Hot companies, which honors the fastest growing companies in the Washington region. In 2020, FlexJobs rated Modus as one of the world’s top companies for remote work.
In addition to these accolades, Modus has expanded considerably since 2020, growing by nearly 300 team members, including the promotion and hiring of 10+ delivery directors, bringing the company to over 450 employees across 50+ countries, and also opening an office in San José, Costa Rica.
Over the past two years, Modus deepened its commercial partnerships with some of the world’s largest tech companies, including Atlassian - which the company maintained a platinum partnership with (the highest level achievable) - Ionic, AWS and Aha!.

For many professional services and consulting organizations, navigating the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic and shift to remote work significantly impacted company performance and employee retention. However, Modus saw positive growth in both aspects, growing by nearly 300 consultants and team members, in addition to opening a new global office in San José, Costa Rica, and launching a new security consulting practice. As an organization that employed a remote-first model since its inception and currently has 95% of staff working remotely full-time, Modus was able to achieve meaningful growth without causing disruption to the overall company culture or compromising on employee experience or productivity.
After maintaining this growth in workforce and revenue, despite navigating a global pandemic, Modus Create also received its first outside strategic growth investment from private equity firm, JLL Partners, in late 2021. The agreement further catalyzes Modus Create’s growing reputation as a world-class digital transformation partner for the global 2000. Modus will benefit from JLL’s expertise in tech-enabled services and its network of partners, focusing on broadening its capabilities and extending its footprint to better service global multinationals.
