Governor Phil Scott’s PSA demonstrates the impact Masks4Missions had in launching a state-wide event that brought Vermonters together in (safe, socially distanced) celebration of masks wearing.

The social media posts from Republican Gov. Phil Scott and Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders (Democratic Primary Nominee) are a testament to Masks4Missions’ success spotlighting the need for mask compliance by working across both sides of the aisle. These posts were seen by millions of Americans, helping them understand that the issue of mask wearing need not be political.

Our partner list, spanning leading nonprofits across 50 states, shows the scale and impact in our work in both urban and rural communities and across social stratifications. Without our nonprofit partners, we could not have had the impact that we did, so we also share this to spotlight their outstanding effort.

The list of events, activities, and outcomes during the week of Vermont Mask Day show the breadth and depth of our community engagement.

Our press profiles, individually linked and summarized in the press portfolio document, provide insight into the attention that Masks4Missions brought to the issue of mask compliance across radio, TV, and written journalistic media.

The video recording of the Vermont House Committee on Education Hearing shows Masks4Missions fighting for action at a grassroots level through local politics. Our work with the Vermont’s local legislators directly led to the designation of October 6, 2020 as Vermont Mask Day, and a remarkable wave of activity that brought critical visibility to the importance of mask wearing.
