LRS was voted the exclusive waste and recycling hauler for the City of Darien, Illinois in October 2021. This meant that all City of Darien residents would be receiving new waste, recycling and yard waste carts from LRS and the previous hauler would be collecting their old carts. City of Darien residents would also have to choose their preferred cart sizes and get enrolled with LRS if they did not want the standard cart sizes that residents would receive if there were no preferences stated. As a result, LRS worked with EO7 Media and the City of Darien Mayor to create a series of videos for Darien residents to help them learn how to select their cart sizes, enroll with LRS, get set up for billing and if they were a senior citizen, get enrolled in LRS' senior waste program. LRS created a script for the Mayor for each seven videos. These series of videos were something other waste haulers in our market have never done before and help get most of the households in Darien enrolled for their service with LRS. LRS and the City of Darien distributed these videos on social media, YouTube and our websites
