London Computer System’s (LCS) annual convention—the Rent Manager User Conference (RMUC)—is a four-day, one-of-a-kind event where customers connect with like-minded property management professionals, attend Rent Manager training sessions, and explore current and emerging industry trends. Professionals in a variety of roles—including Owners/CEOs, Property Managers, Accountants, and Maintenance Managers—representing a wide range of property management markets—Multifamily Housing, Single-Family Housing, Commercial, and more—attend the conference.
The 2022 Rent Manager User Conference (RMUC.22) took place October 24–27 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida. We welcomed 1,042 attendees, sponsors, and industry experts this year. RMUC.22 also incorporated a full trade show-like exhibit hall—mirroring the format of other larger conferences in our industry—where our 57 event sponsors showcased their offerings to enthusiastic attendees.
Each year, our conference committee examines previous attendees’ feedback, current industry trends, and reviews new and impending Rent Manager product features to create a lineup of can’t-miss instructional sessions for attendees to choose from. In 2022, we offered 73 courses—40 of which were new for this year—on topics ranging from accounting essentials to solving staffing challenges and everything in between.
After our attendees requested more interactive, hands-on learning and advanced courses at the RMUC, we supplied free training accounts to our Bootcamp attendees this year, which they could work in throughout the conference. These accounts were filled with a variety of Rent Manager activities that attendees could complete and receive instant feedback on their progress. We also created a complete learning track of 9 sessions dedicated to advanced education for our more-experienced users.
New in 2022, we also expanded our software certification program by adding a Bookkeeping Certification exam. This assessment, along with our established Rent Manager Core and Fee-Based Management Certifications, challenged attendees to perform functions within the software to prove their expertise with the program.
In addition to educational courses, on-site technical and product support were available to customers during all four days of the event. An entire section of our interactive showcase—Rent Manager Innovation Hall—was dedicated to the newest developments in the software. Attendees had the opportunity to speak with members of our Sales and Development departments about new features they would like to see added to the program, play the award-winning Rent Manager: The Game property management challenge, or purchase Rent Manager swag. We are proud to share that LCS donated 100% of the Rent Manager Swag Booth sales, a total of $8,218, to The Make-A-Wish Foundation, our charity partner for the year.
In summation, the 2022 Rent Manager User Conference was a solid success:
- 98.9% of attendees agreed the overall organization of the conference was between 4 and 5 stars.
- 78 Average Net Promoter Score, with 81% falling as an active “Promoter” level attendee
- 83.4% of survey respondents plan to attend the 2023 Rent Manager User Conference
- Reasons cited for not attending include participating in the event every other year due to budget allotments, or sending new employees to experience the RMUC.
