- March, 11 2021 Lion Brand launched Skein Tones, the first collection of its kind, 12 shades of Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling™ acrylic yarn, a versatile 100% acrylic CYC4 in neutral shades of browns, creams, and taupes that complements a broad spectrum of skin tones.
- Lion Brand collaborated with Black crochet artist and doll designer Aniqua Wilkerson from "My Kinda Thing," to celebrate inclusivity and creativity to develop and launch the new line. Skein Tones and Aniqua's message of empowering young Black and brown girls through the fiber arts spotlighted an important message for children of color.
