TEXT REDACTED FOR PUBLICATION

Jeanne Beliveau-Dunn is a passionate, visionary executive with a demonstrated ability to predict, lead and shape markets. Jeanne has played an integral role in Learning@Cisco’s global efforts to expand country transformation initiatives and enhance the worldwide IT talent pipeline. Jeanne’s efforts to change the paradigm of professional education have been highly successful in growing the skills of the Internet generation.

Under Jeanne’s leadership, Learning@Cisco has developed technology training to help transform learners from possessing minimal IT knowledge to in-depth technical skills. The prestigious Cisco certification program outlines every technology role in the networking industry and maps out roles by levels and specializations. It is trust, integrity and relevance that keep Cisco certifications in the top five ranked certifications by IT employers and employees.

Jeanne’s team develops collaborative technologies and solutions to assist in creating groundbreaking approaches to solving problems. Over the past year, Learning@Cisco has led talent development initiatives in the United States, China, India, Africa, Latin America and other emerging markets in collaboration with local governments and partners. Jeanne focuses on initiatives that grow talent and transform local economies by helping individuals find rewarding careers. An example is Cisco’s recent announcement of its expanded collaboration with MexicoFIRST, an initiative of the Ministry of Economy of Mexico, sponsored by the World Bank, to improve the global competitiveness of Mexico’s IT industry. Through Cisco’s partnership, the program is developing human capital to ensure that individuals entering the labor market have the most in demand skills that employers need today.

To keep up with evolving skill needs in the IT industry, Jeanne’s team constantly engages with employees, partners and customers to understand what talent needs the industry faces. For example, explosive data growth and new transformational technologies such as cloud computing, converged infrastructure, unified networking and big data are changing the way organizations are running their businesses today. These new technologies affect not only IT systems and infrastructures, but also the practitioners that design, install, operate and manage them. In order to meet the demand for individuals with these skills, in March of this year, Jeanne coordinated a collaborative effort with other industry leaders, EMC and VMware to combine the latest curricula from all three companies to offer a logically organized framework to address key areas of need. With this offering, Cisco is leading the way in transforming skills for the next generation of IT professionals.

Working with hundreds of loyal Cisco-certified partners across the globe allows Learning@Cisco to extend its reach into all regions and languages needed to support customers. Through its programs, nurtured communities and partnerships, Jeanne has doubled the size of Cisco’s technical community over the past five years.
