Nomination Title: Kintera, Inc.

   1. Tell the story about what this nominated company achieved in 2004 (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

The technology platform developed by Kintera® Inc. (NASDAQ: KNTA) helps
charities deliver The Giving Experience™ to donors – such as giving convenience,
feedback about the financial and social impact of their gifts, and a sense of
belonging and appreciation.  Kintera recently launched The Giving Communities™
interactive website at www.kintera.org where consumers can connect with
thousands of causes and organizations.

More than 15,000 accounts in the nonprofit, government and corporate sectors use
Kintera’s “software as a service” innovations, including its Friends Asking
Friends® fundraising program and Kintera Sphere™, an enterprise-grade software
system that provides customer relationship management (CRM), a web content
management system (CMS), eMarketing and directed giving applications.

2004 was a significant year for Kintera.  The company, which had a highly
successful IPO in December 2003, reported that full year revenue nearly tripled to
$23.7 million for 2004, compared to $8.0 million in 2003.  This record revenue was fueled by an increased consumer adoption of online giving for special events,
politics, disaster relief and charitable causes.

By the end of January 2005, Kintera’s nonprofit clients raised approximately $100
million of the over $350 million in online donations collected by tsunami disaster
relief organizations.  Over 570,000 donors, many of them new to online giving,
were added to Kintera’s customer databases from this sad event.  These new
supporters provide an opportunity for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Catholic Relief
Services, Doctors Without Borders, United Methodist Committee on Relief,
American Jewish World Service and other Kintera clients to create a long-term
relationship with new donors for a lasting impact.

The phenomenal amount of money donated online is evidence that the Internet is
now the accepted way to contribute to a cause.  Donating online offers consumers
the definitive giving experience, combining immediacy, convenience and
confidence.  Consumers can give online to help in a tragic event of this nature,
and feel like they have made an immediate impact.
Kintera’s hard work has not gone unnoticed.

In 2004, Kintera has garnered an impressive list of awards:
*The San Diego chapter of the AeA recognized Kintera as the winner of the 2004
AeA High Tech Award in the Software/Internet category.
