Hosting their first national conference in six years, Sunbelt Rentals wanted to reunite their workforce and unveil the next phase of their 5-year strategic growth plan. After the success of their most recent business plan, this event sought to recognize the remarkable achievements of the employees who were instrumental in driving growth, while rallying the entire organization towards a new future.
POWERHOUSE 2024 was a pivotal opportunity to share critical messages and establish a unified sense of direction, aligning employees with the company’s refreshed business goals. With over half of the team members having worked at Sunbelt Rentals for less than 3 years, the event served to further educate attendees on Sunbelt’s end markets and demonstrate applications of their solutions and the products that they can offer customers.
In addition to delivering key information and product education, the conference was designed to reignite employee fellowship. It served as a powerful reminder of the shared values that unite the workforce, fostering a deeper sense of community and encouraging collaboration across departments and regions. The newly named "POWERHOUSE 2024" national event was envisioned as the "passing of the baton" between business plans that would educate, inform, and inspire attendees.

Partnering closely with Sunbelt Rentals, Impact XM orchestrated an immersive experience for POWERHOUSE 2024, crafting a visually striking event with 15+ hours of learning across two iconic venues. The planning process spanned nine months, beginning with spatial planning to optimize the 300,000+ square feet of space at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) and the arena environment for the General Session held in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Initial event planning took place over three months, with content development for “Anytown” (exhibit hall) and the General Session unfolding over four months.
At the heart of the event was the groundbreaking “Anytown” experience, which transformed the GWCC into a vibrant town filled with interactive displays and product vignettes designed to educate attendees on all the ways that Sunbelt Rentals serves their customers. This space showcased over 600 state-of-the-art equipment rental products including skid steers, earth movers, and more, across 15 lines of business, through 5 zones and 27 features. Notable locations included a hospital, grocery store, airport, and golf course. These engaging, hands-on environments allowed attendees to interact directly with the equipment and were supplemented with layers of content and education through static visuals and digital screens.
Additionally, Sunbelt Rentals transformed Mercedes-Benz Stadium into a dynamic General Session to unveil their five-year strategic plan. The expansive stage, with three massive LED walls, showcased bold visuals celebrating key milestones and team achievements. The event was book-ended in the same space with a vibrant closing celebration featuring A-list talent, leaving attendees with an unforgettable experience.

POWERHOUSE 2024 was a success, hosting over 5,500 Sunbelt team members from the US, Canada, and the UK, along with 200 investors and OEM partners. Attendees shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, emphasizing the event's impact on their day-to-day operations. One participant remarked, "Anytown has been a phenomenal experience. I feel as though I’ve improved my rental IQ." Another said, "Being able to network with so many people in 2 days’ time was pretty incredible." Others praised the event for showcasing equipment with one sales representative reflecting, "It makes you think when you’re…out on the road, where you are visiting these various places, you think of that equipment that you saw at Anytown."
The success of POWERHOUSE 2024 was further validated by feedback from our clients, emphasizing the exceptional execution and partnership with Impact XM.
