ArcSight ESM is the core analysis engine for managing threats and risks with
the ArcSight platform, helping enterprises understand who is on the network,
what data they are seeing, which actions they are taking, and how that affects
business risk. ArcSight ESM correlates and analyzes all the log, event and
transaction information generated by an enterprise's systems to find potential
security threats and risks, in real-time.
Unlike competing products, ArcSight ESM can model not only IP addresses/network
zones, systems and devices, but also users, employees, customers and partners
for powerful analysis. ArcSight ESM can then apply modern techniques including
pattern recognition and behavioral analysis to detect the sophisticated threats
that are hurting organizations every day. Once threats and risks are
identified, ArcSight ESM uses its built-in workflow engine to manage incidents
and prevent damage.
ArcSight has recently updated its solution with new platform features to
support a partner economy and broader customer deployment. These new features
make it even easier for partners to build new applications and services around
the platform.
Customers are also able to scale the solution as their needs and infrastructure
grow, from monitoring a single database all the way up to the largest network
in the world. With ArcSight, customers get an objective, neutral third party
that can consolidate monitoring across other vendors' products and correlate
incidents among them to surface subtle problems that are otherwise impossible
to see.
According to IDC, ArcSight ESM is the leader in security information event
management (SIEM), with 19 percent market share.
ArcSight Logger 5.0 is the first Universal Log Management solution that unifies
searching, reporting, alerting and analysis across any type of enterprise log
data, making it unique in its ability to collect, analyze and store massive
amounts of data generated by modern networks. ArcSight Logger 5.0 supports
multiple deployment options and can be deployed as an appliance and as
software. ArcSight Logger 5.0 includes new IT operations analysis functions,
such as:
• Application build-error tracking
• Application runtime stack trace reporting
• Failed login analysis
• System CPU utilization analysis
ArcSight Logger 5.0 is the underlying data storage and search solution for the
newly updated ArcSight Enterprise Threat and Risk Management (ETRM) Platform,
which currently protects more than 100 banks, the government systems of over 30
nations, nearly 55 U.S. Federal agencies and more than 50 telecommunication
service providers.
ArcSight Logger 5.0 collects information from any system that generates log
data. It can process that information as much or as little as desired, and can
produce ultra-fast searching across the data. As a result, organizations of any
size can use this high performance log data repository to aid in faster
forensic analysis of IT operations, application development, and cybersecurity
issues, and to simultaneously address multiple regulations.
