The Exit Planning Institute (EPI) blog is an informative, educational, and most importantly, entertaining source of exit planning information for professional business advisors across the globe. As the authority on exit planning, EPI has the research, resources, and tools to educate professional advisors on a wide range of exit planning topics.

EPI has made it a key initiative to create and release the best content for our advisor community. In August 2020, we hired a content writer to manage our blog full-time. Since then, we have released an average of 2-4 blogs per week, grown our blog audience by over 100%, and have had our articles featured in other prominent publications such as Forbes, Entrepreneur.com, and FA Magazine.

While most financial advisory blogs contain facts and figures alone, EPI’s blog highlights how exit planning concepts can be found in everyday situations, making exit planning education available to both professional advisors and business owners alike. Some examples of this include our most popular articles emphasizing “Exit Planning Lessons” in popular media. We have written three articles showcasing how exit planning lessons can be found in movies, television shows, and music. By relating exit planning concepts to popular media, we not only pique our audience’s interest but create highly viral and shareable content that spreads our message to a large network, thus expanding exit planning education for owners and advisors who may not understand the importance of proper exit planning.

In addition to our “Exit Planning Lessons” series, we create themed content for holidays, national days, and seasonal events. Some examples of this content include “Time for Spring Training: How to Improve Your Exit Planning Practice” during the start of MLB Spring Training, “5 Ways to Foster a Good Business Relationship With Your Spouse” for International Spouses Day, and our take on the classic Christmas poem Twas the Night Before Christmas with an exit planning twist “Twas the Night Before Selling: The Emotional Impact of Selling Your Business.”

Our most popular themed articles, however, are our annual Valentine’s Day articles. While most companies share articles about love and successful relationships, we have shared articles about divorce and its impact on business value for the past three years. Our divorce articles have become so highly anticipated that we receive emails and calls about them in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day!

Exit Planning Institute’s blog strives to provide an engaging experience, personable content, and innovative solutions and resources to our community of over 15,000 professional advisors and business owners. By featuring industry experts, breaking down complex exit planning concepts into easily digestible articles, and incorporating visual graphics and charts into our content, we have provided best-in-class education to owners and advisors for the past three years.
