Displace is the world’s first truly wireless TV,  conceived as an advancement of the entire television industry as well as the next computing platform. Founder and serial entrepreneur Balaji Krishnan established Displace in 2022, after envisioning a world where multiple displays are easily placed on walls, delivering significant value to the consumers beyond playing videos wherever they are inside their homes.

Displace has no wires, no ports and is run by hot-swappable batteries. Unlike anything else on the market, Displace’s 55” 4K TVs are super lightweight, transportable and can be easily secured to any surface with no mounting required, using proprietary active-loop vacuum technology. Multiple Displace 55” 4K TVs can be snapped together to create any size TV –  such as combining four TVs to create a 110” TV with 8K resolution or even a massive 220” TV with 16K resolution. Unlike other TVs, a Displace TV can be controlled primarily with hand gestures to easily browse and play content using proprietary computer vision technology that allows content to be moved seamlessly from room to room.

  4. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this second question: Outline the organization's achievements since the beginning of 2021 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

Displace debuted at CES 2023 and was awarded Best of CES: Best Startup.  Since then we've seen use cases that highlight the importance of our innovation:

    • Pre-orders from the UAE Embassy in Washington DC where they want to attach TVs to their glass windows
    • Pre-orders from Mercedes' decks in their race tracks where they want to attach TVs on their glass walls
    • Interest from the US Army where they want to attach Displace TVs on the inside of windshields in their Humvees to do simulation training for their soldiers.
    • Pre-orders from regular customers who want TVs in their kitchen and living rooms where they don't want to run wires or extension cords.

Displace’s presence at CES garnered more than 1,520 pieces of global media coverage, and details of its innovations were included on MSN, Yahoo, CNET, Fox News, TechRadar, Venture Beat and Engadget.

  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. Displace solves many of the common problems associated with current flat-screen televisions, which are often unwieldy, tedious to mount to walls and cause damage, end up cluttered with wires and utilize antiquated remote controls.

A Displace TV can be easily secured by simply bringing it close to the wall and, with a slight push, will magically stick using proprietary active-loop vacuum technology.

Displace TVs have multiple rechargeable batteries that can be charged individually while the TV remains fully operational, using Displace’s proprietary hot-swappable battery system. Each Displace TV averages about a month of total battery life for an average usage of six hours of active TV time per day.

All Displace TVs talk to each other, as well as a small central base unit that can be kept anywhere inside the home. Utilizing facial recognition and computer vision technology, Displace moves content seamlessly between TVs in different rooms and follows a user automatically (but can be switched off for privacy).

Users can easily browse and play content on Displace TVs using hand gestures in addition to touch and voice interfaces. Users can literally reach out, grab what’s on the TV and throw it onto another Displace TV in the home.

The 55” 4K Displace TVs can be hung throughout a home or combined to form multiple sizes – like four TVs to form a 110" TV with 8K resolution or even a massive 220” TV with 16K resolution.

  6. You have the option to answer this final question: Reference any attachments of supporting materials throughout this nomination and how they provide evidence of the claims you have made in this nomination (up to 250 words):
