The first episode of Contract Management TV (CMTV) was broadcast via the
CMTV web site (www.cmtv.org) on three dates in March 2003. In July 2003, the
three segments in Episode One were placed in the video archives of the CMTV
site so that they could be accessed and referenced free of charge for educational
purposes by all registered CMTV viewers. In September 2003, the video content
was packaged in a CD-ROM format for promotional distribution at trade shows and industry events worldwide. The videos were  also adopted by two industry
associations, the International Association of Contract and Commercial Managers
(IACCM) and the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), to
demonstrate best practices in contract management in 2003.

The primary objective of CMTV was to establish a recognized worldwide forum for the exchange of best practices and thought leadership related to the business
discipline of contract management. This objective was accomplished through the
development of a monthly broadcast vehicle that is believed to be the first
television-quality series for a specific business discipline broadcast via the World
Wide Web. With a small volunteer team and a budget of less than $10,000, the
first episode of CMTV was broadcast to an audience of more than 8,000 contract
management, finance and procurement professionals from more than 20 countries.
